It’s that time of year again! The PTA presents: Trunk or Treat 2025, a FREE family fun event!
There will be candy, music, games, and a Best Trunk Contest!
This is a free event, however, completely PTA and parent funded. Please consider purchasing candy or small toys from the Amazon Wish List. Also, we are in need of parent volunteers to host a decorated trunk and one volunteer to hand out candy. Candy/toys and buckets will be provided. Thanks in advance to all the parents who make this a fun event for our jaguars!
The Jaguar Spirit Wear Online Store is now open! Check out our tees, hoodies, and more available in both youth and adult sizes. The deadline for orders is Monday October, 13th. Orders will be delivered to SJLES and sent home with your student(s) in early November. Please note, items are custom, so there are no refunds, returns, or exchanges.
Help celebrate physical fitness & care for the environment! Every student who participates earns a charm!
Be sure to enter the school through the SJLES âArt Doorâ at the rear of the building! PTA volunteers will be on-site to distribute charms to students who participate.
You can walk/bike/scoot to school, from school or both to earn a charm! If you are only able to walk home from school, after your walk contact Beverly Weber at Bevy.lynn@gmail.com with your childâs name and homeroom teacher, and we will make sure students receive their charms. A bike rack is located just off the blacktop at the rear of the school.
School begins at 9:25 a.m. and ends at 3:55 p.m. The building opens for students at 9:10 a.m. All children must be accompanied by an adult until the school day begins. Please come early to be sure that there is time for all kids to pick up their charms and not be late to class.
There is a path to the back of the school from Southview. If you choose to park on a side street and walk part of the way, please be sure that your vehicle is on the road and not on someoneâs property. Please do not park on residential lawns and obey all signs. There is NO PARKING or stopping on Southview around the path to the back of the school and art door.
PLEASE NOTE: WE WILL NOT HAVE A CROSSING GUARD FOR THIS EVENT, so if you live across the street from the school or wish to park in that neighborhood and walk over, please use the crosswalks.
Our first PTA meeting of the year will be held IN-PERSON on Thursday 9/4 @ 6:30 PM in the schoolâs Media Center! Pop in to meet this yearâs Board and see what we have in store for this year! If youâve never attended a PTA meeting before, this is a great way to get a look inside whatâs going on at SJLES and connect with other parents. Hope to see you there!

The PTA is hosting Popsicles on the Playground so kids and parents have a chance to meet each other before the first day of school. Some SJLES staff members will also attend.

Welcome to the new school year (almost)! Every other week, you will receive an email from the PTA with updates on how you and your Jaguars can get involved at SJLES this year.
The PTA is a nonprofit organization run by parent volunteers. Our goal is to support SJLES teachers and staff, provide fun and enriching experiences for the kids, and foster a sense of community among parents.
By becoming a member of the PTA, you are contributing to enhance the school experience for all students. There is never any obligation to volunteer! For a little house cleaning, weâd like to ask all new and returning volunteers to update their information by filling out this form HERE.
The PTA plays a vital role in supporting school-wide essentials. We invite you to visit our online membership site to make your tax-deductible donation. All membership dues and donations are directly allocated to funding assemblies, family fun events, teacher appreciation activities, and fulfilling various supply requests made by teachers, among other initiatives. Without the PTA, these important events would not be possible.
