Healthy Minds, Healthy Me Program Launch!
Overwhelmed? Me too. There’s a lot going on right now.
We are all short on time, but we can all use some extra support and care – and that’s the purpose of Healthy Minds, Healthy Me.
Here’s what to know:
- We’ve launched Healthy Minds, Healthy Me in response to our PTA’s mental well-being survey to help support the mental wellness of our school community.
- Each week we will share meaningful resources to support mental wellness.
- To kick-off our Healthy Minds, Healthy Me program, Ms. Diaz and Ms. Poirier (our school counselors) created a brief video (20 mins) that walks through exactly how SJLES supports the mental well-being of our kids – and how our families can leverage the same strategies at home. Check it out here! or below
- For the full scoop on the Healthy Minds, Healthy Me program, including resources to support your family, visit the SJLES PTA Facebook page and SJLES PTA website.

- Practice: Mindfulness is a tool to build resilience, practice using mindful.orgs list of activities or one of the apps recommended by the APA (two are completely free).
- GET SUPPORT:
- If you or your child seems stuck or overwhelmed and unable to use these tips, you may want to consider talking to someone who can help, such as a psychologist or other mental health professional. Turning to someone for guidance may help your child strengthen resilience and persevere during times of stress or trauma.
